Welcoming Students Into A Career In Education

The Teacher Prep Program focuses on various careers within the educational system.  This career major emphasizes career skills to become a successful educator.  Students will develop skills in areas such as communication, technology, teaching methods, problem solving, and managing a learning environment.  Students will have the opportunity to gain teaching experience through field experiences.

WTC Teacher Prep students will have the opportunity to earn 6 credit hours to SWOSU. We will be offering Foundations of Education and Art and Science of Teaching concurrently within the Teacher Prep program. This is a great opportunity for students interested in a career in teaching to get a jump start into the Department of Education at SWOSU. See instructor for information regarding enrollment for college credit.

Student Testimonial

I am Ace. I am a junior at Clinton High School and I chose the Teacher Prep program because I was inspired by many other teachers in my life. Also, I knew that it would help me gain leadership skills and help me later on in life, even if I do not choose to become a teacher. So, no matter what you want to do later in life, Teacher Prep will help you with that.
