Electrical Trades
This program is designed to prepare individuals for placement as an entry level residential or commercial electrician. This course will cover safety rules and regulations, related construction hand and power tool usage, basic electrical theory, national electrical code instruction, electrical installations and material identification.
Upon completion of this program students will be able to:
- Understand, install and troubleshoot residential and commercial branch circuits.
- Understand safety as it's related to residential, commercial and industrial wiring.
- Understand and read electrical blueprints related to residential, commercial, and industrial wiring.
Career Options
Students will have the opportunity to accrue up to 1000 hours towards their electrical journeyman licensure with the Construction Industry Board of Oklahoma and be eligible for apprenticeship opportunities.
