Diesel Technology

Diesel Technology provides students with training in the diesel mechanics field.  Technology has caused rapid changes in today’s diesel industry, and there is a huge demand for qualified technicians who have the skills required to repair and maintain diesel-powered equipment.  Students work on a variety of machines, such as highway trucks, autos, agricultural equipment, and construction equipment.  They will gain the knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment into the diesel mechanics field.  The program emphasizes safety and hands-on training.

Salary Range

Up to $50,000 yearly

My name is Alexander Misener, and I am a junior at Canute High School. I joined the diesel program because I really enjoy working on equipment, and with my father being a custom harvester, we often have to repair our machines while we're in the field. I wanted to be able to fix a pickup, combine, tractor, or even a semi whenever needed.

I will use this training in my future career as a custom harvester, and I also plan to work on equipment on the side. This program will help me develop the skills and knowledge needed to repair and maintain machinery efficiently.
