Aviation Structures Technology
Introduces students to aircraft structural maintenance. Students will be working with sheet metal, special fasteners, learn metal layout and forming techniques, basic structural repairs, learn about aircraft characteristics, aerodynamics along with shop safety procedures. As students learn about technical repair used in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities they will use hand tools, power tools, basic shop math, and know how to identify , control and prevent aircraft corrosion identification.
This program also prepares students to enter into a Part 147 Airframe & Powerplant program and licensure.
